Popped Las Vegas was born in 2011, the brainchild of Jean-François Chavanel, a classically trained French chef with a passion for precision, and Zelma Hulet, a spirited mother of four and lifelong popcorn enthusiast. On paper, they couldn’t have been more different. But they shared a singular vision in the kitchen: to transform popcorn from a casual munch into a gourmet experience.

Drawing on Chef Chavanel’s mastery of French culinary tradition and Zelma’s deep love for all things popped and playful, they began crafting small batches of popcorn unlike anything the world had tasted before. Sweet, savory, spicy, or unexpected—each flavor told a story. Each kernel was treated like a canvas. From the basic to the boujee, every variety was made with intention, care, and only the finest ingredients.
